    Your GD & your quilt are just beautiful. This is why I quilt too. She looks like you gave her a million bucks. She will always cherish her quilt from you.

    Just think about how pleased that little girl's children are likely to be years and years from now when they inherit the quilt. I know I inherited some well-worn quilts and they represent a tie to my Grandmothers. In fact, I never met my maternal Grandmother who died long before I was born, but she made a quilt for each of her 12 children and my aunt kept my Mom's quilt for her for a few years then gave it her--new from the hands of her deceased mother! I have that quilt today and it's my only connection to my incredible grandmother. It may be the best memorial one can leave behind!
