Will it ever be done
#16
I only know how many in mine because I put it into EQ6 so I knew how much fabric I would need and how many hexagons across the bottom and up the side.
I do love the hand sewing aspect, although every now and then I can't face it and don't touch it for a while.
What you have accomplished is awesome, it's the sort of thing that gets passed down through families and even strangers can see how much effort has gone into it.
Well done girl, it's stunning!

Oooohhhh, it is beautiful! I think it is super special because you are hand sewing and hand quilting. It is so relaxing to do that isn't it? You are getting so close now...it will be hard to put it away now until you have the top done!

thank all of you for your kind words :-) I have enjoyed working on it and now that it is getting close to done (size wise) I want to keep at it. As far as handing it down...I don't have any children of my own. :( I do have a stepson and daughter in law. I have been in the family since he was 18 and he will be 43 next month. However they don't have any children, she wasn't able to and they decided not to adopt. So our family is very very small. I am an only child (the good kind :D ) my husband is an only child (the spoiled kind  ) My step son is an only child and so is his wife. They are both sweeties and I have made them quilts and they do appreciate them. I have a lifelong friend and she wants it...lol. They can duke it out when I am gone.
