    Yes I think she will love it. With her background as an abstract artist she will appreciate it even more.

    I think a lot will depend on what you use for the backing. If she is into really bright colors, I'd avoid using grey on the back.

    Well, I'm an artsy 34 year old and I love it so much. Although if I didn't I wouldn't say so....but I do so there.

    Of course it would depend on the person, but it seems very likely to appeal. I agree with klswift that an artist is likely to appreciate the labor involved as well.

    Thank you all for making me feel more reassured! It is kind of stressful giving a quilt as a gift, I find, when it really should'nt be that way.
