    You said your niece was an artist-what is her medium of expression? You are an artist and your medium is fabric and color. Your quilt is beautiful and I am sure she will appreciate and love your artistic expression. I think 'klswift's' comment is so on target.

    I think she will love it, however most people do not understand the time involved... But with her being artistic as you say, she probably will understand and know, but talk to her about it when you give it to her,,, I'm 59 almost 60 and I like it

    I can't think of any reason why she won't love it.

    I like your design and layout.

    The grey background-I don't know if I should say background because the grey area and the colors both really pop.

    There's a lot of depth and texture there.
