This isn't really a place to sell machines. This is just a gallery of machines people have and use. I suggest you sell it on CL or Ebay or somewhere.

Is this one? The price seems high, especially if they don't have the accoutrements, but it's so cute:

Does anyone know if this would work standing as shown, or does it need a case? BTW, I'm not looking to buy it - just browsing CL for the entertainment value.

Yes it would need a case. BUT it is a PINK Atlas. Alas the Atlas is too far away and I do want one. The price is rather high, 50-75 would be the most I would pay.

I have one identical to that. Mine isn't as nice - there are some scratches and some discolor and mine seems to be peach which may be more rare than pink... DGS, Wilbur loves to hunt for the little man that has the whole world in his hands. Even though mine is ugly it is a wonderful machine now that it is cleaned up. I believe it is made by Brother. I saw one one here on QB with Brother instead of Atlas and the same everything else. I would not get that kind of price around here for one in good shape.

Thanks for the input, Caroline and Miriam. To me it looks a lovely "ballet slipper pink" in the picture. If I keep looking at things like this we may need to add a room!

Is "Love at first sight" possible for a sewing machine?? In the case of the machine below ... it happened for me. I love the fact that it's two-tone but still has that "Singer Shape" to it. The best part is that it sews WONDERFULLY!!

Dig that oversize stitch length regulator! Reverse is the push button in the middle. Drop feed dogs? Two buttons on the bed near the pillar for "darn" or "sew". Oh ... and the bobbin plate is the flip up type ... love it!

I can already tell that this is going to be one of my favorite machines.

Meet the New Home Janome model 170. Serial J-30 D504325. Will try to date her. Suspect 196X.

Default "Gimbels Special" Debutante 3/4 size Model 15 clone

This nice little machine is part of my mother's collection. It originally belonged to my great aunt. It's a 3/4 size clone of a Singer 15. It is badged "Gimbels Special" and the instruction manual says Debutante. The motor has a Morse nameplate. Gimbels was a department store chain, and this machine most likely was purchased at the Pittsburgh store.

It's probably a postwar '40s or early '50s machine, but I don't really know. The hardware is chrome plated. The tension control and the scrolled faceplate and backplate and the chrome rim on the handwheel all harken back to the '20s - prewar '40s.

I put more pictures here in this public album:
