    Default A Winding Ways quilt

I asked for your advice around four years ago, on a design I was going to make. Well, I finally finished my Winding Ways quilt. It is called 'Into the Light' (thank you again QuiltnNan for the name) and was made using Marti Michell templates, in Northcott's Stonehenge fabrics. As I had to order quite a few of the fabrics from the States, I then had to go with my plan. In hindsight, after seeing the fabrics I think I would have made a few changes, but it is pretty much what I envisaged. I hand quilted it QAYG using my favourite Hobb's Heirloom Wool Batting.
    Thank you for looking.

Simply gorgeous! I love winding ways and hope to make one some day. I love how you gradated your fabric from light in the middle to dark around the edges, it really makes the quilt glow. Your hand quilting is beautiful and just perfect for this quilt with an echo stitch 1/4 from all the seam lines. It helps to accentuate the circular pattern formed by the blocks.

    An all around superb job!
