Hunter turned one and this is his B day quilt. WIP, I did one for my Granddaughter three years ago and continue to add a candle and embellishments each year . Any suggestions ? The them for the party is jungle animals.

Here is my granddaughter's first one. I added a second candle last year and am working on additions now. for three ;):):)

I love what you have done. I think the whole idea is great. If you are asking where do you go from here, I would do mutlitple strong borders, including, if possilbe, the cake fabrics. I know this quilt will be treasured. I say that a quilt is a portable hug. This one is a hug and a bunch of kisses. Good for you.

Yeah I was going to do a couple borders. it is a wall hanging only to be used on b days;)> It is fun to figure out what to add each year the blue bird on Peyton's was due to her love of watching the birds this past year One in particular seems to be at her home every time I go there :) we call him Mr. Bluebird ;). Hunter's first word beyond mama and dada this week has been APPLE, so i must incorporate that somehow.

I did an 80 layer one for my mom two years ago. Since she lives in Canada no embellishments have come.. Hmm she will be with me this this next b day ( 82 ) I might have to get it mailed to me ;)

Here is mom's 80 layer cake
