    It's beautiful! The print you added makes it pop.

    I would like to suggest that you have it quilted so your husband can have the pleasure of sleeping under a quilt his grandmother started.

    It is a lovely quilt and story and maybe with a lesson to all of us quilters. I have a large number of WIPs. I usually use those large ziploc bags to put the finished blocks, cut pieces, leftovers and even what I plan on using for the border and binding. I don't always include the pattern and layout for the quilt. Why not....maybe just didn't think about it....twenty years from now, when I pull it out....will I have any idea of what I intended it to look like...let alone giving that idea to someone else? The way my memory has been leaking out lately....probably not!
