Love it! Love it!! Love anything with blue. You might try thrift stores or even look at fat quarters in several stores....
Love stars too. I'm making star blocks for a GS graduating in 3 yrs. His brother the next yr, along with a GD. So I'm starting now, little at a time. Boys are hard to figure for but girls, no problem......

This is wonderful, i really like the way you have formed the blocks between the stars. Very impressive. I am making a blue and white dresden plate quilt at the moment and so enjoying the fresh colours. I am hand piecing them onto their white background. So rewarding doing handwork as well.

It's very pretty! I never SAW the stars til I re-read your post! lol I only saw the blocks, but maybe that's because I so want to do a tumbling block quilt.

Thanks everyone I am still plodding away slowly on this, I now have 14 blocks done, I haven't worked out my finished size yet, I suppose I will just keep going until I am sick of it LOL

Beautiful, don't know about the hand quilting. The arthritis boys wouldn't allow it on my end.

Me, too! You're off to a fabulous start! And my hat's off to you for the hand piecing. I love to do hand work (applique, needlework) but hand sewing drives me crazy (or would that be "crazier"? LOL!).

That is a perfect pattern for hand piecing and your work and colors are amazing! I shy away from those 60 degree angle patterns when I have to set-in y-seams by machine. I want to hand piece a grandmother's garden. I hope I can use my hands long enough to get that deep into my bucket list!
