Thanks for that great suggestion. It was one of my first thoughts also, but unfortunately I don't have any solid black left after another quilt I made and I'm not in a postition to go out and buy more fabric. Maybe I'll have a sale to get some shopping funds. :D

It is a twin sized quilt, and you are so kind to offer. The young lady in question is happy with a solid of any color so you need not send me your fabric for this one. She said she likes the busy-ness and is very happy with the way I can finish it with what I have on hand.
I don't usually meet or confer with the recipients of my quilts, but in this case I had the chance indirectly thru the contact person so I asked for opinions. She actually prefers the brighter colors.
I so appreciate your interest and willingness to share tho. Big hugggggggs and smilesssssssss!

And the same back to you from me re: sharing for a good cause. My life is so much more complete again now that I have quilting that lets me do things like this for others.

Wow, that came out great. It's so nice to see this group helping each other out and pooling our resources for a project. Quilting is it's own reward.

BTW Big Red, I meant to tell you how much I love your panda fabric with the water running thru it. That adds so much to your quilt!! And it's a great quilt also. Hugs and smiles,

Ah today I got the borders on. As this quilt gets bigger, it becomes increasingly difficult for me to handle. I am beginning to wonder how I am going to manage the queen size quilt I am planning to make for our master bedroom one of these days. LOL..
Here are the photos of the quilt with the borders on. I know the receipient likes it, I hope you all do too.

I did a narrow check border with little pandas in the corners and then a pieced leafy print wider outer border

This is a very lively quilt. I think you did a great job on it. I am sure she thinks so too, especially with all the love that is in it. Thanks for letting us go along on the journey of its creation.
