My DGD would love it as she loves pink. I would frame it with a border of the darker fabric in the pinwheels.

I like it. But if you don't like it, there are ways to soften the pinkishness. Some have already suggested different borders. Is it quilted already? It doesn't show in the photo.

I'm a longarm quilter and I've had clients come to me with quilts they were not crazy about--usually for this same reason-- the color or color combination. It's possible to tone down or enhance color with different thread color.

If you came to me with this quilt top and you wanted the pink toned down a bit, I would audition different colors of thread on it to see what would soften the pink to your taste. A white, pale beige, or pearl grey thread would make the pink appear lighter. A medium grey thread, blue grey, or muted rose thread will make the pink look muted, more rose colored. Bright lime green or bright turquoise would add sparkle and contrast, and surely would take your mind off the brightness of the pink!

As I said, it looks fine to me just as it is. But it's not my quilt! And you need to suit yourself and please yourself.

Please post pix if you make changes to it. Best of luck!

add some black and white borders with some pink accents
and maybe applique some white accents over the centers of your blocks.. I can see a beautiful wip. Don't change a thing, just add accents. It's lovely.

It is beautiful! I would bind it in black to really frame it out.
