    Thanks everyone for all the comments. I can't wait for it to get assembled. I found a place in CA that has silk embroidery floss. I just got an e-mail that it has already shipped. I ordered a med brown thinking it will blend in with the velvet. I hope I am not boring you guys with this. I am going to SID the front to the silk batting. Then I will baste that to the velvet around the edges. Then I am going to bind it with the silk velvet. I am going to have to play with it a bit to find the best way to make the binding. I may interface the binding to give it some body. It is so filmy right now. I wish you guys could feel this stuff. You would think you had died and gone to heaven :roll: :lol: Then I will hand tie with the floss in the center of each twister. Wish me luck :!: Will post more over the weekend.

    Oh how nice that will feel!! It looks wonderful too! I bet that silk was a pain to work with!! Great job! :thumbup: :-D :thumbup:

    wow, it's all really so beautiful. I love that the backing is so different yet goes so well with the quilt top!!
