Thanks so much for all your help everyone! I went to the fabric store today and bought enough red, bright gold and black to play with and try all your suggestions. Three borders would be great of the red, gold and black ...2 narrow on the inside and one wider one on the outside with each of those 3 colors. No matter what you decide to do you Will end up loving this quilt when you are done. It is beautiful.

This is really nice, very masculine and unique. I wonder if a special border (like piano keys or something) would really do justice to such a unique quilt. No plain border. I can say that because I'm not doing the work. :D
