Default Women of the Bible

Women of the Bible is 104" x 110" and was a BOW by Stitchin' Tree Quilts. The blocks tell the story of many of the women from the Bible. The directions gave the instructions, a short biography of each woman and why the block was chosen for her. I used fabric from my stash except for the black and white. The quilt was made in 5 sections. I quilted each section and my daughter sewed the sections together as QAYG.

This was made for my friend of 60 years. She is very active in her church and has always been interested in women's issues, even when we were 15 and in high school. I loved making this for her and can't wait to hear her reaction. It will be a Christmas gift.

Very beautiful, the black and white makes the colors pop out, your friend is very lucky to have a friend like you.
She will love her wonderful bible quilt you spent so much time making for her for Christmas.

The pattern is from www.stitchintree.com. I got the pattern as a free BOW from www.quiltcorneronline.com. I believe a CD is available for purchase now--maybe even a printed pattern, though I'm not sure.

I'm with BrendaK. Give it to her now. You can wrap it in Christmas paper, and then take a picture of her opening it and give her the picture for Christmas. I have that pattern, and I meticulously printed off each block as it was announced. But I am just now getting on my feet after retiring. So I am ready for the next project. Your colors are an inspiration. Thanks for posting and sharing your joy. Marcia
