I'd kill to have that long throat! Good for you! Definitely take a class, but play with it a while first. Figure out the easy stuff and get comfortable with it first. You'll get more out of your lesson that way!

Boy there is a lot to learn on it but I will get it.. It is a long way to go to the dealer about 75 miles but I think it will be well worth having someone help me with it.

Anyway just wanted to show everyone my brand new toy..
The learning curve on Brother machines is pretty easy. The manuals have lots of pictures, and the machines are wonderful. Jump right in!

And she is a real beauty! I always read the whole booklet and fry my brains for a day. LOL.... But, it is amazing how much you learn that way.

Is this the equivalent to the Babylock Aria??

You will love the lighting. I bought the Crescendo last summer. It is a great machine, but I probably should have got the Aria since I'm not fond of the laser light and haven't used the sensor pen yet. Have fun.

It's been my experience with Brother that their manuals are very well done. I took the introductory class that came with my machine and learned a lot. Then, using the manual, I continued getting comfortable and very able to use most features. It's a good machine, sturdy and reliable. But my favorite feature is the easy-to-use manual. Just go slow, perform each step as the manual directs, and you will soon be using you lovely Innovis like a pro! Congratulations on your new quilting pal.

P.S. I also own a Bernina which I also like very much. Both are great machines.
