    Default Wool Memory Quilt

I was asked to do a memory quilt for a friends friend. So I thought ok, shouldn't be that hard. So I said ok and to bring the material over that she wanted me to use. I was thinking cotton shirts, etc, but no she brought over jackets/coats made of wool and wanted a star quilt. I just finished watching Missouri Star Quilts on utube and thought the Big Star might just work. I used 6.5" squares instead of the 10" squares and I think I kinda like it after fighting with it. The seams were too thick to quilt so I tied it and now doing the binding on it. Here is a pic of the quilt.

You did a wonderful job! I did a square in a square wool wallhanging in Amish colours and used 1/2 inch seams. The wool wasn't bad to work with in large pieces. I hand quilted it but with bigger stitches. I think you choose the perfect pattern and it looks awesome!

Looks really great. it's not easy to work with the palette all those jackets offer. Did you happen to pre-shrink or is this going to be a dry clean only?

You sure did a fantastic job working with more difficult fabrics. That is one gorgeous quilt.
