The quilt is beautiful! Very special that he asked you to make him one. May I suggest that you make a label for the back and document who, what , when, where, why, you made the quilt. Especially the fact that he asked you to make it and designed it himself. It will be important to someone in the future. :D

Gail, I barely made it. I had the quilt top all ready to go about ten days ahead of schedule, and I had it laying on an extra bed. Every time I passed by it, I kept thinking it was missing something, then I realized that I wanted to add a yellow outer border. Guess what? I am out of yellow fabric! Had to order some more and got it just in time to be able to finish it. Thanks for you sweet comments and your beautiful labels.
