Thank you everyone for your kind comments. I brought the quilts to my friend a couple of weekends ago. I brought one into the house to put on the bed. I don't know what he was expecting, but he was speechless. (I think it's because he's one of those people who is always giving and was somewhat shocked to be on the receiving end for once.) We hung out for a while and went out for pizza. When I was pulling out of his driveway, I said, "Oh, wait a minute - you've got twin beds up there, don't you. You'll need another quilt." With that, I grabbed the other quilt from the back seat and shoved it into his arms. The look on his face and his laughter was priceless.
