Default workshop wall hanging in progress

I'm teaching a machine applique workshop the first weekend of February. This is the design I've come up with to use.

Right now the hearts are just laid on the background.

It very pretty! I see lots of points and curves to learn how to do. I also see lots of overlapping pieces to show to do the background pieces before the foreground pieces. It would make a pretty door/wallhanging with one of www.ackfeldwire.com heart shaped wire hangers.

I love it! What did you use to cut out the hearts - they are so perfect! Please show us the finished project!
