That is a beautiful quilt, and the blocks are really nice, too.

How do you pick the recipient of the quilt? I'd love to make one. But wouldn't know whom to give it to. Or where to take it.

with our group ( southern Ca quilts of Valor ) we have a form that people fill out to request one and they go on a list . We always have about 20 on a list.. people request for anyone they know in military and we just ask for a picture of the person in uniform for our own documentation. We mange to get our quilts out to the people within about 4-6 weeks and if out of state they are mailed if local they are hand delivered. We have no trouble finding people... they find us. ..through word of mouth. You can sew for many different groups... we also take tops and finish them for you and sent to those on our list. We gave away 300 quilts last year ;). You can approach your local Va if you have one if you are looking for military donations.

That is the national site... and they only do for wounded .. .. our local chapter does not adhere to that policy and makes for anyone serving, has served or to families of those who have lost. It is a good organization to give to ;)
