Spanish Tiles pattern is in the book Living Large 2. The author calls this an advanced pattern because it requires accurate piecing of the purple sashing. As you can see my piecing is not perfect, I have been quilting for 2 years. I would call it a pattern for confident beginners.

Thanks for all your replies, they mean a lot to me.

They are all beautiful. I admire anyone that has the where-with-all to sew all of those strips of fabric together on the woven ribbons quitl. It is spectacular.

Beautiful quilts. And your quilt inspector appears to be so comfy. Ah a cat for all quilts, black and white cat hair to adorn and coordinate with any color combination.

Fantastic quilts. The quilt inspector seems to have chosen my favorite one.

They are all great. Those kitties! Anywhere they find a quilt they have to try it out by taking a nap on it! Congratulations to your son on his success and to his family, too.
