Default X's and O's from a charm pack- baby quilt

I just finished quilting this baby quilt for a nephew and his wife. I love the simple pattern, and yet it's a very cute quilt.

Very pretty! I've been looking at that pattern. Do the seams all come together an create bulk? If so, any tips on dealing with that?
