    I think what I would do is just cut down the original border so it would become a thin border and then add another border to it. Hope you finish it!

    You did really well. Love the fans. Lots of work in this quilt. I'd applique a new border over the old one and make it a little larger. Maybe even two borders.

    It is beautiful. I would replace the border if there are several areas that are damaged. If the damage is only in a small area I would cut it narrower and add another border.
