I know. I just talked to the grand daughter, she is selling me her grandma's model 16 treadle.

I can't believe it. But each to their own I guess. Sad.
Sometimes people just realize what real treasures are! Great find and glad the quilt found a wonderful home! Enjoy your new machine as well. I wonder if grandma was the original owner?

Yes she was. The GD told me it was the only machine she ever had. I went back to see if there were any other quilts, there was only one and it wasn't it great shape. The GD said there was a ton of stuff still in the house that hadn't been looked through. I'm hoping today she will invite me in so I can take a peek. I also got a newspaper with the headline of when JFK was killed and a photo of him. This woman had a ton of things. I picked up a feed sack as well.

Really great quilt. Looks like 30' fabric. Someone had no idea the value of it.

How very blessed this quilt is that a person who APPRECIATES the goodness of quilts has purchased it. What a TREASURE !!

Wow! Beautiful. It is so sad that people do not value their heritage.
