Default Yellow Brick Rd ready for Spring

Every year my church has a ladies spring tea and I have donated a quilt for a give-away the past five years. The theme this year is "Hats off to Spring." I try to to make a quilt related to the theme. This one is 93 x 97". I had a fat quarter bundle (fresh cottons) and added the rose to relate to the theme. These are not my usual colors, but I like how springy it looks.

Beautiful! It is simple, yet very feminine and elegant. The rose quilting pattern is gorgeous!

Absolutely beautiful ! love the addition of the rose and then following with the rose quilting ! I made a strippy with the jelly roll race and added a large shite daisy - sent to a great niece. Love simple then embellish with applique.
    Happy Quilting !

Your quilt is fantastic! The added rose just makes it so beautiful and unique. Did you draw out the flower yourself or did you have templates already?
    Thanks for sharing.

I used EQ7 and the rose was in the motif library. Great thing about EQ is you can resize. Although I printed out 3 before I felt the size was right. I added extra bud and of course the stem I made on my own. Thanks for asking!
