Barb your coverlet is amazing! I love Yo-Yo's! This is such an unusal design with the scalloped edges - thanks for sharing!

Thanks for posting the pictures. I've been making yo-yos for a very long time. When people ask me what I'm going to do with them I usually just say "I don't know". Now I KNOW!

I'll print off your picture and show them - then they won't think I'm Crazy!...at least as far as fabric is concerned.

I LOVE the CLOVER plastic yoyo maker - I wouldn't make yo=yos without it! It's definitely worth the $7-$8 for it. The one I use is 45mm and makes yoyos about 1 3/4" wide.
The real fun starts when you start thinking about how you will arrange the yo-yo-yos. Mine look random, but it was sort of planned, so that I didn't end up with, say, lots of reds in one place and green in another.

I haven't tried the Clover yo-yo maker yet. but I might because I want to make a bed skirt with a yo-yo scalloped border.

Glad I could start you on the way to a healthy stash. Hope you're having fun.

Quilter 68, I didn't add the yo-yos to the quilt. I had the quilt made to use on the bed, then spread the coverlet on top. I just have to be careful when I'm making the bed because it is very heavy and not much to get ahold of when positioning it in on the bed just right.

Hi, I am making yo-yos now. Made place mats for my table, a friend saw them, so will make her a set. Your coverlet is just beautiful. Don't know that I could make that many yo-yos...lol.
