wow those are beautiful!!! i like the buttons - they seem to add to the richness of them. if you were planning on making a wall hanging of some sort leave them on. but if you were going to use them as pillows i might be tempted to go without the buttons.

I love buttons and something in the middle of the yo yo. I am working on a quilt right now where I have put various sizes of yo yo's on the border and have sewn in a pearl bead so that the centers look more like the flowers I want them too.

Those yo yos are so beautiful and I am sure she didn't have the new plastic yo yo templates to quickly stitch them together like I do to make it go quicker and easier. What a treasure to find.

I agree that the buttons really dress these yo-yo's up. I would use them for at least one pillow top, especially if you use velvet....
