while cleaning up after my mom passed I found these pillow tops my momom made and was putting together ... I would like your opinion of how to attach them to the velvet, they seem to be made from silk ties .... should I fasten the yo yos to the velvet with the gold buttons ....or just put them on plain?????? all comments will be appreicated thanks

Those are beautiful!! The buttons are lovely, I would continue to put them on the rest of the yo yo's also.

Your mom's yoyo's are lovely.... I prefer them button free. Are you planning on making pillows with them, like your mom started?

Either way would look lovely. I think the buttons sure dress them up!

Both would work but those buttons make the yoyo's pop! I really like it much more with the buttons. There's an Etsy site that sells just vintage buttons. You could find some from a particular era--Victorian, 1950's, art deco, etc. You might want to check it out.

I think that I like them without the buttons. The pillows I've seen do not have the yo yos attached, only caught in the seams around the four edges after they have been stitched together.
