    You could thread paint to give color and depth.looks great!!

    That is gorgeous!!! I am looking forward to seeing your finished work.
    Where did you get the pattern? Our family has spend so many vacation weeks there in Yosemite that this would be a very special wall hanging, if I could make it.

    Personally I would get a couple different shades of blue, gray/blue, gray/green fabric paint and dry brush them on but be careful, unless you know what you're doing you could ruin the whole thing. Always use downward strokes, vary the width, color, color depth, etc. Darker at the top, lighter at the bottom and uneven at the bottom.

    What about quilting thru the white waterfall with blue thread ? That way it would also give movement to the water
