    Need to add a couple more photos. have started the thread paintng.. or something ;)>. not sure what I am doing but adding texture is fun.

    I really like your project. If you can't remove the white, I think painting is a good idea, or possibly "stitch" painting as I have seen some do on this forum. Your work so far though is very nice, and I hope we get to see the finished product.

    Very cool! I have never seen anything like this! Will you applique the pieces on? Sew them?

    I used steam a seam to applique them on and am now going back to stitch them on and in some case.. thread paint.... here is a couple of pictures after tonights go at it.

    thread painting on the reeds by water

    Thank you all for such encouraging and helpful comments....my plan is to spend a lot of time on it today... I am waiting for *That call* from my daughter... any time.. she is having our grandson. Need to stay close to home today in case we have a long drive up :). I will be sure to post more as I go along. Happy quilting everyone.
