I prefer hand quilting. It's relaxing, keeps my fingers limber and reminds me of the quilting my grandmother used to do. I love the old fashion-ness of quilting by hand.

I'm doing something similar, only mine are more traditional flower colors - I do like yours.
I call mine the 10 year project because I only work on it when we're travelling.

Gorgeous...I am working on a GFG (a QS) and I also have a bunch of EPP postage stamps on the go. These are terribly addictive. Love your fabric choices too.

I too am just learning about hand piecing'/applique. SOmeone on this board in fact told me about the English PP to try when I am at the hospital with my daughter (which is often). I also think Iam going to like it as a 'take along' craft to do while sitting.

    Enjoy!

Agreed, this is an addicting project. Everyone should make at least a doll quilt of hexies.

    Your fabrics are great.

Glad you found a hand sewing project to work on. Except for embroidery I've never been into hand work but recently started a curved whirligig that is great for traveling.

I started doing hexies but I had no pattern but now I will start with a pattern like yours.
