I love this quilt so much that I went to the library to find the pattern. The problem is that my favorite part of this quilt is the checkered border which was not part of the original pattern. Could you please tell me how you constructed that?

Love the quilt and the inspector. We have 2 of those inspectors and one of them looks just like yours.

I was sorry to read alang6's reply. I was all ready to go in search of the book with the pattern in it, but I was afraid I'd find you did the border your way and not as the pattern shows. Your border is what makes the quilt sing. Please tell us how you did it. I love scrap quilts and yours has my name written all over it. Love it!

Beautiful job, but....not the best idea for a dog to lay on the quilt, unless it is for the dog. The dog hair can be brushed off, but all dogs have oil in their hair and that gets on the quilt...everything the dog lays on get the oil. I have a doberman and every week I wash her sleeping pads and blanket. You'd be surprised at the difference after they are washed. Just a comment.
