    Default You've Got Mail Quilt

Yesterday I finished my "You've Got Mail" quilt, which was started months ago. It is the size of a large lap robe or sofa quilt and shown on a queen size bed. Instead of the 10" squares from a layer cake as demoed by Jenny Doan in a Missouri Star tutorial, I used 8" squares from scraps. I think it ended up to be a better proportion for the smaller quilt.

The borders were made "quilt as you go" and attached that way. The main part of the quilt was made in the traditional way and quilted stitch in the ditch.

a very effective quilt. Resizing patterns is often a good idea.
