can I delete my posts
#2
This is what I've found - hope it helps.
"Can I edit or delete my posts?
If you have registered and are logged in, you may be able to edit and delete your posts (although the administrator may have turned off this option). Your ability to edit your posts may be time-limited, depending on how the administrator has set up the forum.
To edit or delete your posts, click the Edit Edit / Delete Message button by the particular post. If your post was the first in the thread, then deleting it may remove the entire thread.
Once you've made your modifications, a note may appear to inform other users that you have edited your post.
If the edit time and date appear as a link you can click on this to see the differences between the original and edited versions, or between edits if there have been multiple edits.
Can others edit my posts?
Administrators and moderators may also edit your messages. If they do, there may not be a note telling other users that the post was modified."

I have found that there is a time limit of 20 minutes to delete or edit your post. I'm unsure if it is starting a new thread if the same applies. If it is a post that has personal information or ?? for some other good reason, I think you can PM a moderator and explain why you wanted it deleted, then they can delete it if they deem so. See Can/Would a moderator delete a post someone made by request?
If you click on the "Edit" button at the bottom of the post, it will open a new window and one of the options is to delete the post.

I think this is correct. You can only edit or delete yourself for 15 minutes after posting. Outside of this time limit you'll probably need to have an administrator do it.

if there is a good reason to delete a specific post i'll do it for you.
if you want to delete everything, i won't. that effects other members' threads and posts.
send me a pm to let me know what you need.

Thank you, Patrice. I know there have been some deleted messages that really does effect the threads. I have run across some threads that have thanked someone for their posts without quoting it and there isn't a post by that user in that thread.

I've had that same thing happen and it can be really confusing. Thanks for taking care of those situations for us Patrice
