    Default Display Default

When you open any forum, if you scroll down to the bottom of the page, there is an area called "Display Options." The default is "Last Post Time."

You have the option of changing it temporarily to "Thread Start Time." This allows you to see the newest threads. I find that more useful.

Is there any way to premanently change the display default to "Thread Start Time"?

Using the computer, especially scrolling, causes intense pain in my arms. Not having to change the display would allow me to use this website for longer periods of time.

When I pull up a thread, there is a link on the bar where #1 is... it's on the left... 'View First Unread'. This is how I automatically go to new posts. If you want to default to the order of the posts, click on User CP above, Scroll down on the left to Edit Options. Then scroll wa-a-ay down to Thread Display Options. You can change that to Newest First.

    I went to:
    User CP
    Settings & Options
    Edit Options
    Thread Display Options
    Thread Display Mode
    Linear-Newest First

That changed the order of the posts inside of a thread to "Newest First"... which is nice, but not what I was asking for.

I want to change the order of the threads when opening a category like Main, Pictures, etc. to "Thread Start Time" instead of the current default which is "Last Post Time."

I see the Archive link at the bottom. When I click on it, all I see is the list of forums.

How will that change the default from "Last Post Time" to "Thread Start Time"?

I have started clicking on the option "New Posts" which appears at the top of opening page. I believe that it brings up most new posts across the boards, maybe not all.

I've always accessed content on the board via this method.

Sigh... No, clicking on Archive does not show the newest threads listed first on my computer.

That also requires me to scroll down farther to the bottom of the page than "Display Options" does. My desire is to change the default from "Last Post Time" on the display to "Thread Start Time" so that I don't have to change it every time I open it.

I'm using Quiltingboard much less now than I used to because scrolling hurts my arms so much. If you don't know of a way to do this, could you ask the IT guys if it is possible the next time you communicate with them?

I want new threads, not new posts.
