I hope you get an answer, and that I can find this post/thread again! I used to like seeing all the newest posts on one page, rather than having to search several pages. Maybe I'm doing something wrong?

1. on this thread, notice the url ending
2. now click on the post number to the right in the bar above this single post
3. you will notice, now, that the url has changed to a different ending.
if i want to come back to this single post, or send it to someone else, i copy the url and open it in a new tab in my browser or email it to myself or another person. you can also paste it into a post on another thread to point other members to this particular post.
4. if you have clicked on a particular post # and want to get the original thread url back, scroll to the top and click on the thread's title.

I am wondering about the "go directly to..." box that you mentioned. The threads, with which I'm dealing, are very long and I don't see any "go directly to..." box at all. Do I need to turn on some setting to see that? Here is one of the threads that I am following and it currently has 417 posts:

OK, i was a little mistaken... there is a go to box, but it is for page numbers.
to find that, look in the box where the page 1 of 11 is, there is a tiny down arrow... click that and you can enter a page#. thanks for providing the example

Thanks! That also helps a lot :-). Somehow I missed seeing that little arrow; it will be very useful.
