Default Problem with the Daily Digests

Strange things are happening. Some people are not receiving the daily digests and they do not know why.

I am receiving the digest but I cannot open it. When I try I get a message ....

"The connection to the server was reset while page was loading"

This has been happening for quite a few weeks now. At one point, I was able to open the Digest, but that was short lived. The page loading problem has resurfaced and does not seem to be going away.

I really enjoyed reading the Digest ... yes, I know I can visit the webpage and read everything, but I do like reading the short version.

Is it me? .....or is it the website?? Anyone know?? Thanks for listening.

The first and most important thing to remember is that the emails are not the board - at all.
They are only a link to a smattering of thread links selected by a software routine.
They barely scratch the surface of all that's available here.

If you know you want to come to the board often, the emails are a waste of time.
    they slow you down.
    why wait for an email?

You never need those emails to connect to the board.
    Just come straight to http://www.quiltingboard.com

If you like starting with the sample list of links, go to the Resources tab.
you can even set up your favorite/bookmark or shortcut to take you straight to the resources tab.
    http://www.quiltingboard.com/resources/
Make sure to keep exploring, though, so you don't miss any of the good stuff. :-)

You can add it to your browser favorites/bookmarks, put a shortcut on your desktop, or (if you are a total QB junkie like me) you can make it your home page.

    Try using the direct route.
You might find you like it better. :-)

    Check your junk/spam folder.
Gmail started flagging the emails as junk again.
They sometimes don’t make it through to user inboxes – not even to the junk folders.

Hotmail, due to a security feature, does not display all the content as originally formatted (missing links). There is an option to “Show Content” If the user does that he/she should be able to see links. Also the user needs to add QB email to its safe list.

It may be that other services have done so, too.

You may already have done the following. If not, please do:

Please take the following steps to add a contact to your safe senders list:
    1. Open your email account (example: AOL, Gmail, Yahoo! or Outlook).
    2. Locate your “address book” or “contacts”.
    3. Add [email protected] and [email protected] to your address book or list of contacts.
    4. Save your changes.

If your email program provides for it, also add @lifestyle.ibemail.com and @quiltingboard.com to your list of safe senders (or the equivalent).
