Default Read Messages in Red Ink

Not sure what I did-ugh ! Use to be if I read an article or clicked on article, the ink would turn red from blue ink and it would stay red even if I signed off. Next time I signed on, the read items would be in red, now it has turned back to blue when I sign on, like I never read article. How can I fix this? Trivial, but I liked it being that way. Thanks

I have read a lot of articles without commenting. And some have commented and not shown up. I just go with the flow. What happens happens! is a little annoying but have to move on.

I have this problem too. Not always just sometimes.

When this happens to me, I return to the page I was on and then go back to the article I commented on. My comment is there. I don't know why this happens, though.

usually when this happens, cleaning out your cache, temp files, and cookies will make the problem go away.

Agree, this happens to me when I erase cookies and temporary internet files. They all show up unread.

I meant my suggestion as a solution, not the reason for the problem. If your cache, cookies, temp need "dumping", there isn't any room for the browser to remember where you've been or not been...that's why the links stop changing color. If you clean them out, they will start changing color again.

I have also found this happening to me too. I even have to log on every time. I changed internet provider which I can't wait to get rid off. Seems that I can't remove the program since there was a problem with the installation. I hope to move over to a newer computer but still running XP.

Hi, thanks for all the solutions. I am not computer savvy so ask DH for help. He cleared the cache, etc.--now I know how to do that--lol ! However this problem still exists unless I log on with name and password, typing them in each time. Then and only then will any message I have read will stay red in color --a solution, maybe, but not like it was at beginning of November and prior months.
