This is the member registration I [PatriceJ] use to test things.

I noticed that our avatars have disappeared.
I don't know yet whether or not they will be automatically restored.
I did a test to see whether or not I could restore it myself.

    Click on Your Username
That will take you to your profile
Look down the left-hand column for the option to change your avatar.
Upload it just as you did before.

    easy peezy.

I also tested the picture insert option.
either there's a new process I haven't figured out or it isn't working again yet.

I will keep you posted using my PatriceJ identity.

    AHAH!

currently, we have to use the "Manage Attachments" option at the bottom of the page.
that should attach photos, but not let us insert them between words or lines of text.

when i tried a second time, i expanded the dialog box and saw the "upload" button to the far upper right.

Not my personally preferred way of doing it, but better than nothing.

test for uploading and avatar. this was a leader ender idea early this summer, I finished the top a few weeks ago.
to upload the photo I had to widen the popup box to find the Upload button, way right.

edited to add: no avatar. if I still have the image I'll do that via my profile as noted above.

edited to add: think it's fixed and even added a selfie I think forums are changing because so many only use phones now.

I went through my personal files with a fine tooth comb and did not find anything that supported the avatar. Not even a suggestion. What am I doing wrong?

At the Home page, which I get to by clicking on the Quilting Board logo, the second menu below that, left side says User CP... click on that and scroll down to Edit Avatar under Settings & Options.

In this example, I have attached the image, but want to insert it between lines of text instead of having it hang about at the end of my post.

    20190316_144323.jpg

Here, the image is inserted instead of attached.

I found all the instructions by clicking on the 'FAQ" option on the top QB menu.
    https://www.quiltingboard.com/faq.ph...b3_board_usage

I created an expanded version with images, which i have attached to this post.

    Is this easier than before?
    nope.
but it's certainly better than having lost the option altogether.
