Why does the Quilting Board "freeze"?

I have this problem almost every time I try to reply to a post. I'll type my reply and hit "post quick reply" and get the message that QB is not responding. Then when I get back to the topic and write my reply again and post it it will go through. It's gotten to where I rarely try to respond to posts. I will contact tech support after posting this (probably after posting it twice).
Well, what do you know, it actually went through the first time. This is the first time it has worked all evening!

Yes, and then it says that the board is not responding because of a long running script. It then asks me if i want to end the script, so I click on "YES".
It happens on a few other sites, too, but much more often on this one.
