Wow, what a difference (ads vs. no ads)
At home I use Mozilla Firefox with add-on "AdBlockerPlus" - works great! No popups, nothing flashing at me, I see very few ads on pages. No jiggling bellies on my Yahoo Mail (I HATED those).
Yesterday I was at a library using their computers, also Firefox - but ADS all over the place!! How do people stand it??!!
One message board I like to read (not this one) - there were so many ads, the messages only took up about 1/4 of the width of the screen.
It was like
reading
everything
like this.
As I left, I suggested the Adblocker add on to the library personnel.......got the blank look.... Oh well, I tried.
How many of you have adblocking software on your browser?

i've been using firefox without the blocker. i've experienced fewer ads than with IE, but not ad free.
i just installed it and restarted my computer.... it's wonderful!!! thanks so much!

No, that one won't work with IE. IE has a pop-up blocker built in but as anybody knows, it does let a lot of popups through. By tweeking your security settings, you can get rid of more of them.
The How-To Geeks recommend Simple_adblock @ http://simple-adblock.com/ if you'd like to add an additional ad-blocker to IE.
