Thanks Emma--here's what GD accomplished today! Her next project is sewing simple curtains for her bedroom with the butterfly fabric on a blue background.

Well, the Hershey show starts today and I've decided not to go. I'm not only cutting back on the fabric I buy, but also on notions etc., basically anything quilting related, and that would be my downfall if I went to the show. Instead, I'm going to stay home and work on a few projects that are piling up. I feel good about my decision and I'm looking forward to a day in my sewing room.

Ok..since my sewing machine is in for a cleaning (they were offering a sale on doing it for half of what they usually charge) and it won't be done for TWO weeks!!!!!....I am off tomorrow with one of my guild friends to a local shop (50 miles away) that is having a sale with some 65% off fabric. Of course, by the time we get there, there may not be much selection since sale has been going on for 2 days already...but I might have to buy a few pieces if there is something I 'really need'. Just telling you ahead of time that I plan to jump off just for a little bit. :-)

I missed out on a sewing yard sale day due to a schedule change in a friend's dialysis. She probably saved me from myself. I know last year at that sale there was a Singer 15 in a cabinet for $15 that didn't sell. Haven't checked out the sale at the LQS yet. This is the last week so I'll have brave to it to get my red fabric at the sale price. Even if I don't buy too much, I'll get to pet the fabrics.
