I went through my stash last night and realized that I am really low on browns. Only a few FQs left. I think I need to go buy some brown fabric. NEED has not been in my fabric-shopping vocabulary for a long time.

I said that I would report back (confess) if I visited the quilt shop that was selling out. Went this afternoon. I only bought 5 yards (half off), and I'm sending 2 to my sister. I also bought 2 books at 70% off. Not perfect, but it could have been a whole lot worse!

Paper Princess: You did do fine. When books are on a really good sale, I think they are as hard as fabric to resist. Look at it this way, you helped that proprietor to liquidate her stock. Just doing your civic duty. Wish I had the strength to delete my e-mails before I read them; sales, sales everywhere. I keep hoping someone will buy the fabric I'm especially drawn to.

Emma Emma you are such a positive person, "help a proprietor " and "civic duty" I gotta love it.......my Auntie Rae was too. One day I will tell what my nephew her grandson said about her......hee hee. That's ok Paper today is another day and now I have a week under my belt. Calla/Sue

A full year!! I've made it a full year with almost no purchases!! I finished buying two BOMs this year and bought some fabric with a fair prize but I only got what the gift cert covered. I did buy 5 spools of Aurifil but only because the local fabric pusher had it on sale.
I'm going to go on a quilt retreat close to one of my favorite stores though. I'm also going to move to a 2 bedroom apt in the same building this month so there is that to consider too. Fabric gets real heavy, real fast.

Congrats Scissor Queen! Hopefully you sewed from your stash...can you share?

Since I went to work full time I don't have as much time to sew but everything I have done has been totally from stash and a fair part has been just from the scrap stash. I've made 4 small wall hangings for my cube at work. I don't have pics of them though.
