Oh Happylab, that is stunning. The color of that thin border really makes this pop. ...super finish!! Getting to go to the Yukon is something my DH really wants to do.... I know you had a great time.

It took me awhile to locate your picture but all I can say is WoW! That's one ambitious quilt. Congrats on your finish..... keep it up and you'll have your UFO pile down to nothing.

Gotta go work on my UFOs..... I'm getting closer to that cathedral window being finished..... I don't think I'll ever do another one of those.... but soon, I'll have it in the finished pile rather than the UFO pile. ... gotta be happy about that.

    Default Jan UFO

Ok. I think I posted my finished UFO on the wrong thread. So here it is again. Thrift store find that was somewhat of a mess. Repaired & added borders. Getting ready to load on the LA machine. Now what to do for Feb.

nena - your top is a beauty! I love that pattern to begin with and your colors are so pretty. Love the border treatment too.

happylab - I like the concept of making a project from a trip. What a beautiful memento you have created!

MadQuilter - Your top & bottom borders make the quilt stand out. Isn't the serpentine stitch fun to use? I'm getting ready to try it on a lap quilt for the first time after loving it on smaller projects.

Nena, you found that at a thrift store? I've been going to the wrong place. That's amazing. You did a wonderful job of fixing and bordering it. Nice.

I want to join in the challenge to complete UFOs. I finished several last month and have a goal of 2 queen size quilts for February; a Turning Twenty and a Carpenter's Star.

Welcome bcross, tootoooooooottoooooot, and another member hops on the train. Y'all are leaving me in the dust as I work to make comfort quilts, which derailed me from UFOs for a while here.
But then, I'm good with that, as comfort quilts are my main reason for quilting, and you guys are carrying on in fine style!! Clang clang clanging the bells for all the great finishes already this month!! What a great group!!!
