Ahh Emma, ya otta take out that embroidery machine and give it a try. It really is rather fun. Can be a little intimidating at first, but it certainly feels good to make something with it. I've come a long way since the unwrapping of mine. That was about 3 or 4 years ago. I made 10 table runners last year for Christmas and did some embroidery work on all of them. I've made mug rugs, and learned to do a few items that was all done in the hoop. Lots of learning but very satisfying.
Find something fun for that Christmas quilt...it's kind of a ufo if it needs new life. Right?

Just wanted to prove I am making some progress. There are only 5 quilts in the pile because I need some additional fabric to finish the border on the sixth one. All but one, the red and white one, is turned back out so you are actually looking at Side B.

Emma, those are Side B? Meaning the backs? Geeze Louise...I'd like those even for the fronts of my quilts! You rock!

Thank you everyone for your kind comments. I haven't posted even one finished UFO this year but I plan to go out in a blaze of glory. I so appreciate your encouraging comments. Coopah: Yes, side B is the back. I have a huge stash and figured it makes more sense to use nine yards from it than go out and buy nine yards of one fabric. Hence pieced backs. A side benefit is that I get to try more designs. The one you see on the bottom is a Drunkards Path, my first try with curved pieces.

Well I don't have a UFO to post yet, but I did get to post a finish in the pictures section!! Another comfort quilt finished and boxed up to go out in Monday's mail!!! And I did also get a UFO layered and pinned so I hope to have a finish this month. It's a king size t-shirt quilt and I'm doing it on my domestic machine so it will take a while.

Oh my goodness, what was I thinking when I put stars on this quilt? LOL. I am outline quilting the stars and that requires `16 turns for each one!!! Boy are my neck and shoulders feeling this and I've only done 6 of them today. At least it looks nice! Y'all send me strength to get this baby done!! Well, it's no baby, being king size. LOL

Wildyard, 16 turns!! Lotta work going on there girl. Hang in there you can do this and it will be done!!

I finished a couple of chair covers this last week. I only needed to do the binding on them but it's taken just about a year. They are done. I'm still working on the yellow quilt that I am quilting by embroidery. I've really gotten much better at hooping a quilt. I've got 15 more blocks to hoop. They are all on the outside of the quilt next to the edge so it's easier than the middle. I think it's working pretty darn good!
