I've been making crumb fabric with my scraps. Really like that method. Good luck on your saving spree for the die-cut.

Gosh, everyone is doing so good. Even the few who purchased, only got a little fabric, not the yards and yards I usually end up with.

I've also been good -- almost too good -- my last fabric purchase was the Connecting Thread batik sale in June. But my birthday is in a month and if I remember correctly we have a birthday dispensation, don't we?

My "new" quilting frame arrived from Noliting but it's still in pieces in the living room. I did get the electrical conduit so I can start putting it together -- probably this weekend. I need to get it done because the 15" Bailey I ordered is due to be delivered on Friday. Then the learning curve will begin!

So, I haven't purchased any fabric, but $2600. went towards a frame and new machine. Gulp!

I don't know how good you are at that FMQ thing, Belfrybat. My thought: Instead of fabric, you could treat yourself to some classes on FMQ. That would be a win-win, particularly with the new frame.

wow is the fabric still good after 30 years? I've started my fist scrappy quilt already and it's only my first year on this attempt at quilting.

I have some fabric that used to belong to my grandma. She died in 1960. So yes, as long as the fabric was stored well, it will be just fine (assuming the quality is what you would consider "good")

I am so excited. DH and I went to our friends' house tonight and handed off the American Dream. They loved it. He was kind of shy about it and really quiet (not his style). lol It feels so good to hand off the project and make room for the next one.

Not sure if I mentioned it here: Yesterday I added a floating border that I learned in a craftsy class. It went together like a charm and my pieced borders fit perfectly. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that method. These pieces are turning into desk mats for DH's office by his request. I am trying not to go too girly on him.

Martina - of course they loved it - the quilt was gorgeous! And don't you just love when things fit into place (your border) it makes quilting even more addictive. I've been thinking I need to take one of Craftsy classes. Love the format. I struggle with eight hour classes and now that LQS is gone can't do that anyway.

tk - good luck on the scrappy. I haven't made one yet. I'm scrappy impaired but awe struck by others.

belfry - So happy for you on your new machine and frame. Hope you have lots of fun.
