2015 Fabric Moratorium

Paperprincess - SCORE!!! How exciting to get the machine at that price. The Sari is beautiful.
You're a brave woman tk to do the fabric or the dollar amount. Even if I kept track it would scare me to know. I definitely know that next year's resolution will be to improve on my record. While I don't know the exact amount I know I fell too many times. I could look back on past posts but I think I'll go full steam ahead to next year! Will probably keep track on paper this coming . I haven't bought any since thanksgiving sale (I'm pretty sure lol). No other reason than I'm busy buying presents. Had to put the red bargello on hold till I can get to a quilt shop hopefully sometime in Jan.
I did get two log cabin baby quilts done for twin boys this month. Even though I had been working on them almost as long as she's been pregnant. Fabric is all from stash.

Beautiful, Erin. I love it!
I am totally jazzed: My BF's DH called me to ask about getting his wife quilt-related X-mas gifts and he has NO IDEA. Well helloooooo, I am full of good ideas. So I called him back and found out that the budget is $200. He also just had a knee replacement so guess who gets to go shopping with someone else's money???? MEEEEEEEE!

Love the Sari, and the log cabin, I have been making tons of stockings from stash and from scrap was also making a log cabin from stash then ran out of two fabrics I must have misfigured what I had and I had one miscut so I ordered more sadly not going to be here in time for me to finish this for Christmas. Mostly I have been good with only buying what I need to finish something but did get a couple small things but overall more going out then in. So not a bad way to finish the year.

Erin, great job on the log cabin baby quilts. This would be a good project to make for the baby shower for charity this spring and it could come from my stash. I doubt that my quilting could ever match the terrific job you did. Thanks for sharing.

So I got my friend some more bobbins, a 1/4" foot and a clear open-toe foot for the Pfaff. (I could not work without them.) Then I picked up some rulers: Tri-Rec, Easy Angle, and Companion Angle, a long tape measure, a marking pencil, a blue pencil, some more decent 80/12 needles and a project box. That was 25% off at Joann. Still plan to go through my books and add something from my stash.
There is also a posting in a community group for a mom who needs a little help with the holiday for her kids. So I picked up a few things to add under their tree. Since we don't celebrate, it made my Grinch heart grow a notch or two. lol
This morning I went and picked up the food for the company food drive. We raised $2300. Isn't that amazing? A lot of the food I ordered was generic which is stuff I would eat. So it turns out that the company van was packed full. Tomorrow the food will be taken to the organization for distribution on Saturday. As the organizer, I feel really good. It was a definite success!

Thanks guys for you kind words on the quilts.
Martina bless you for putting so much time in for people in need. Have fun spending someone else's money and on quilt stuff to boot. While I have shopped a lot this season - I have no one I got to shop quilt stuff for.
