I haven't bought since my unproductive farm errand trip. So tickled to get the big mini project top done on Monday. (The setting squares were cut from my derailment in January.) I shared it at my guild and came home with a huge sack of scraps...I think an I say "no" goal intervention is needed. On the bright side, while watching my tweenage Grands this week I used scraps to make a small wall hanging while I use scraps as a leader and ender project. This one is a full size log cabin like quilt using 2 1/2" squares and strips.
Will try to post pics when I get back home.
My sympathies to those who have fallen off, but it's a temporary setback. Kudos to those who have stayed strong.

Martina- Beautiful inspiring quilt you made.
grammyjo- I do the same thing. I "justify" a fabric purchase by the fact I started a quilt but before I know it I doubled the fabric amount I used in the quilt to go to my stash with my purchase. Shopping stash is always good but I need to work on idea that I now need to "replace" it.

OK, I will stop by the LQS today to purchase the FQs for the swap. Hope to stay strong and not add anything else. I'll make sure to go eat breakfast first. Never a good idea to go shopping hungry.

On way home from kid sitting for four days, I stopped at Joann's...Bought some Kona white and a white on white...10 yards total..to use on some scrap quilts. Don't have them planned, but now I have it I can plan them out..

I jumped off the wagon. I bought 24 fat quarters and 10 yards of fabric. I made almost all of the gifts I will need for Christmas out of it, so does it count if it doesn't hang out in my stash?

Good question? I think since you made Christmas presents, it should count toward you finishing a quilt project and this should not count. You can buy fabric or supplies to finish off projects.

I had a jump off. My dear friend gave me three lovely yard pieces of blenders from Lily's Garden, a pink, a deep rose, and a spring green piece for my birthday. They went perfectly with some fat quarters and two charm packs in my stash. I added 2 yds. of focus fabric of Sakura cherry blossoms. Then I needed 2 more yds. for borders. Hopefully, this is it. My quilt top is starting to look beautiful. Hopefully, I can find something in my stash for the backing.

I started a new quilt today. I had some fabric from a particular line which I purchased some time ago, that I'm finally using. I wanted a white background, but didn't have enough of any 1 fabric. Rather than heading out to buy something new, I decided a scrappy background would be just fine, and pulled 5 pieces of various white-on-white I had in my stash. Problem solved, and more fabric gone from my stash.
I fear that soon I will have to pick up some background fabrics, but for now I'm hoping to continue working on ones I can put together from stash.
