2015 Fabric Moratorium

Elly66, this was my second DWR. The second one is much better than the first. The second time around I used my Accuquilt Go and followed the directions by Ebony Love. Really enjoyed doing it her way. You could use her directions without cutting fabric with the Go. My husband said that by the time I get to my 7th or 8th DWR I will be really good. LOL He has already picked out the fabric for my next one. The next one will most likely be for a single bed.

PaperPrincess, there are about three or four segments of Ebony's videos on the DWR. I do use my Accuquilt quite a bit and it was especially useful for the DWR. Made it much easier.

Who knew the quilting club had a stash. And we are going to be organizing it next month. I am definitely looking forward to that. I am using two of my stash fabrics and two from the quilting club for my Oh Susannah BOM for the next set of community quilts. I'm so excited!

I packed up a whole lot of boxes of fabric and yarn this weekend. (The house goes on the market soon). I was so surprised at how much yarn I've collected. The fabric didn't surprise me. It's a really good time to retire and get busy using some of this all up!

Wow!! Busy people here and I love the fact that you all used your stash! Such nice pictures of your wonderful work.
I have the DWR die and am looking forward to using it. It's good to hear the success stories!
We've had a wedding, a funeral (celebration of life for my wonderful aunt) mothers day and a couple of BD's. All this past week. I've also had several showings of the house. My goodness, how do we do it all!!

Very nice . i love these strippy quilts. They are so homey and charming.
I went to the quilt shop for a meeting and didn't buy any fabric so I'm feeling good about that. But I did go to the sewing shop next door and bought an 80 dollar small table for my sewing machine. Does that count?

TK: Of course it doesn't count. The table is a tool to help you use your stash. Ever wonder if it was just cheaper to buy the fabric? I recently splurged on a new sewing machine. Three or four yards of fabric would have been MUCH cheaper.
