Thanks for the pep talk! I worked some more on him tonight, he's almost done! I'm thinking that now that I've done one, I could probably 'chain piece' the others. He is really amazing!

Here's my elephant ladies! This was a complicated block! I think I'll take a break from this one and work on the March challenge. I have a wonderful quilt in progress with the blocks that involves boats.

Oh, I love the elephant! So realistic and so subtle the fabric differences! What's the pattern?

Love the elephant. The fabric giving the shading and definition to the elephant is wonderful.

The little churn dash blocks looked so perky, white on red, so I let them float on the red......and then discovered that really was a whole lot of red! Not wanting to unsew, it took some fussing and fuming but now am back on track. This will be a small quilt, probably just three fabrics and very simple, indeed!

I found red and cream fabrics after a guild meeting yesterday and will get started on the churn dash blocks today. For some reason I couldn't find any red in my stash. I must have donated it to the quilters at church before moving last fall. (Having to pack and move your stash is an eyeopener).

Love your elephant Kristi! Your Feb. challenge will be stunning.

    Default March challenge quilts reveal

    Hello challenge participants,

It's the end of the month and time to reveal our March challenge quilts.

Here's mine. I'm looking forward to see what everyone created. This is so much fun!

I tried to not make a patriotic quilt but ended up with what I call "churndash 4th at the beach". LOL.
It was a fun little quilt to make and will go to a hospice.

Smile Get ready for the April Challenge

April's almost here. It's time to start thinking about our next challenge.

The April challenge is #4 on pages 28-33 of the book. We will be working with two block parts.

It's difficult to explain the challenge without breaking the QB rules. Please refer to the book, Quilt challenge "what if" ideas for color and design. Send me a PM, if you have any questions.

Challenge projects may be any size you wish. Please share your completed project with the group.

    Have fun!
